Twisty Ties! Weeee!

No clever titles this time, it's 4am. This short installment is going to be about a little trick I use when gluing pewter models, as I'm a very impatient person. Holding a model while its glue dries puts me in as much pain as sitting through the movie White Noise. My solution to this problem? Twisty ties! Anytime I buy some new technology I save the twisty ties and tiny rubber bands that hold the cords. So while I'm putting pewter models together I don't have to hold them while they dry:

Oh, and Vanguard Veteran Squad FTW!

Until next time!

Adios Eldar

After our weekly game night, I've decided to sell off my Eldar army. I've debated the idea for quite a while. My army setup isn't set up to win any tourneys, I don't have a Seer Council or a lot of mech. I just kept buying 1 of everything. I win some and lose some, but the reason I've been dancing around the idea of getting rid of them is simply a matter stats and playstyle.

I started writing out the details to my reasoning for disliking the Eldar, but I can't really imagine anyone who reads this will care. So let me get to the point.

After giving friends a few days, I'm now offering the army up to the blog community. If I don't get any offers within the next week (I'll say until Dec 1st,) it's going up on eBay. My army is great for a start army and comes out to 1650 points without upgrades and ~2100 points with realistic upgrades.

Here is what I have:

Black Reach-ing for the Stars!

Anyone tired of my lame titles, yet? Yeah, me either. This is an update from a previous post about me painting my Ultramarine army. Well, I finished my set of Black Reach Terminators, and I don't think they look too terrible:

This is my first painting of 40k models, so keep the criticism gentle. I used the primer and quickshade I mentioned before. I also tossed on some anti-shine matt varnish from The Army Painter.

It Should Have Been Me!!!

I'm here to ramble about an amazing, yet simple, idea that... well, honestly, I should have thought of. I'll let the article do the talking:

Transport them all in a medium toolbox with drawers, awesome.

Short post today, work is so busy these days.. 'til next time!

Eldrad on the Runway

Hello hello. This is something I wanted to post once finished, but I'm too eager to share. Eldrad, the Farseer of Farseers is one of my favorite characters in the fluff of 40k. And even though he's not alive; one of my favorite models to field. To this, I felt I owed the model something special before I even ordered it. I really couldn't figure out what I wanted to do, exactly, until I got him on order from my local Table Top store.

Now, like you, I typically hate those damn pewter models with all the "silly string" left on them that I have to clip and shave off.
